Small-Group Exercise 

OVERVIEW

Our small-group exercise classes classes are taught by a Parkinson's specialized Physical Therapist who is also Board Certified in Neurologic physical therapy.   All classes are evidence-based, which means we use the most up to date research on exercise for Parkinson’s disease to benefit your body and brain.  Class sizes are very small (4-6 people) to provide you with personalized guidance and encouragement.

DETAILS

All class packages include a FREE initial assessment and ongoing tracking of your fitness and mobility levels.  This information is extremely important to help you track your progress and provide you with early signs regarding a need for a course of skilled physical therapy, should this arise.

  CURRENT CLASS OFFERINGS

PWR!Moves + Circuit Group Class

Tuesday & Saturday 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm

This Parkinson-Specific exercise class will teach you how to move bigger and faster in everyday life and counteract PD symptoms!  As you learn these PD-specific skills, you will be challenged physically and cognitively to do more than you think you can in a fun, supportive environment.  We will also integrate the PWR!Moves into sports, fitness, and more traditional gym activities such as strength, agility, balance, coordination, and flexibility training.  You will work independently or as partners at different exercise stations, each with a different focus.  By design, this class encourages problem solving, fast processing, and sequencing, challenges you, and will help you to keep doing more of what you love.

Thrive is elated to partner with The Elite Training Studio to offer our small-group neuro-fitness classes.  The Elite Training Studio is a 3,000 square-foot revolutionary functional strength and conditioning training studio devoted to the highest level of professional training and fitness programming.  We love that our classes at this studio are private; no one else is sharing the gym space with us.  Additional perks include: being located in the heart of Rochester, convenient off-street parking, and a wide variety of fun and effective equipment.
